VACANCIES
Applications
are invited from citizens of Srilanka having qualification and experience
specified below and preferably having worked previously in government or
private sector large projects, for the following posts on fixed term contact
basis for the moragolla Hydropower Project (MHP).
1. Surveyor –
one vacancy
1.1
Qualification
and experience:
· Applicant
who have passed GCE (O/L) in 06 Subjects 05 Credit passes including English and
Mathematics in one and same sitting.
·
Successfully
completed a course of surveying and leveling at the Institute of surveying and
mapping at Diyathalawa.
· Minimum 03
Years working experience as a surveyor in recognized organization.
· Experience
in Government or Private Sector large projects will be an added qualification
for selection.
1.2
Remuneration:
· Within the
framework of management circulars issued by the ministry of finance.
2. Civil
Superintendent – Five Vacancies
2.1
Qualification
and experience:
·
Possess a
National Diploma in Technology in Civil Engineering of the University Moratuwa.
or
·
National
Diploma in Engineering Science (NDES) – IET Katunayake.
or
·
Diploma in
Technology – OUSL
or
· Higher
National Diploma in Engineering (HNDE) – Mattakkuliya and Labuwa
· Minimum 03
Years working experience as a Civil Superintendent in recognized organization.
·
Experience
in Government or Private Sector large projects will be an added qualification
for selection.
2.2
Remuneration:
· Within the
framework of management circulars issued by the ministry of finance.
3. Drivers –
Eight Vacancies
3.1
Qualification
and experience:
· Applicant
who have passed GCE (O/L) in 06 Subjects (including Sinhala and Mathematics in
one.
· Applicant
should have possessed a certificate of competence issued by the commissioner of
motor traffic to drive C1 class or higher class Vehicles and have minimum of 03
years experience with a good track record.
· In the case
of applicants who have been awarded a certificate by driving school conducted
by the ministry of transport or ministry of youth affairs & Employment, the
requirement of possessing the experience of 03 years is waived off.
· Applicants
should have minimum height of 5 feet and 3
inches.
· Applicants
should possess a sound knowledge of Highway code and should be physically fit
for driving during day and night and must have a good eyesight and a good
heating.
· Experience
in Government or Private Sector large projects will be an added qualification
for selection.
3.2
Remuneration:
· Within the
framework of management circulars issued by the ministry of finance.

Age Limit
Applicant should be
more than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age at the closing date of
applications.
Persons over 45
year will be considered only on exceptional grounds when technically competent
people below 45 years of age are not found at the interview.

Terms & Conditions of service
The
appointment will be on fixed term contract basis for a one (01) year period.
The contract may be extended for further term depending on the requirement of
the project.
Those
applicants who are already in the public service / public institutions should
forward their applications through their Heads of departments, who should
indicate whether the release is possible in case of selection for the post.
All

addressed of two non-related referees, certified copies off the NIC, Birth
certificate and any other relevant documents (Qualifications, Experience, Training
certificates, Driving License, etc).
